Spring Gardening Workshops

Join us for a 6-part Spring Workshop Series to learn how to grow your own food at home and deepen your understanding of concepts like composting, seed saving, and pest management. Sign up for one or all!

Learn with Christina Cranwell, our experienced Outdoor Educator who has been farming 5+ years across multiple states.

April 9th: Pest and Disease – Scout for signs of pest and disease on the Farm and learn how to identify common garden pests, disease, and apply organic controls. Explore beneficial hedgerows and their impacts in small gardening spaces.

April 16th: Composting – Learn about vermicomposting and hot composting systems. Deepen your understanding of how to source materials and set up a vermicomposting system. Learn about different hot composting set ups and how to troubleshoot issues with your composting systems.

April 30th: Seed Saving – Learn about different methods of seed saving and develop the skills to identify which method to use with each crop. Learn about proper seed storage and handling, plus, take home your own seeds to help build out your seed library.

May 14th: Tomato and Bell Pepper Essentials – Learn specifics relating to tomato and pepper production and how to maximize fruiting for bountiful harvests.

$10/person per workshop

There is no experience necessary to join, gloves and materials provided.
