At Coastal Roots Farm...
We’re not only feeding our community - we’re cultivating a sustainable future.
In San Diego County, where over 1 in 4 face food insecurity, access to fresh food is essential but too often out of reach. That’s why we grow nutrient-dense, organic food for those who need it most. We feed over 45,000 community members annually, donating the vast majority to neighbors in need.
By practicing regenerative agriculture, we’re restoring the soil, capturing carbon, and taking meaningful action on climate—because nourishing people also means caring for the planet. Our climate crisis demands innovative, earth-friendly practices, and we’re spreading the word to over 10,000 youth – the next generation of responsible land stewards – who visit the Farm each year.
All of this is guided by Jewish values like Arevut, the belief that we are all responsible for one another. Jewish tradition reminds us that Adam (human) and Adamah (land) are interconnected and that caring for our community and earth go hand-in-hand. We invite everyone to engage in this wisdom, building a thriving Jewish community and welcoming people of all backgrounds.
Join us this season to Nourish Community—supporting people, planet, and a healthier tomorrow. Together, we can grow a future where everyone thrives.
Your gift doubles! Help us turn $200,000 into $400,000 thanks to our generous community of supporters for making up the $200,000 match.
