We're calling this photo series...found at Farm St We're calling this photo series...found at Farm Stand!👐

Did you know that today, we’ll give away more than $2,500 in fresh, organic produce at our Pay-What-You-Can Farm Stand to neighbors facing hunger?

Every month, that adds up to over $20,000 in nourishing food shared right here on the Farm.

This is only possible because of supporters like you. 💚

Will you give today to help fill tomorrow's Farm Stand?

No-till potatoes, Coastal Roots Farm style. 🥔🌱   I No-till potatoes, Coastal Roots Farm style. 🥔🌱

Instead of digging rows into the earth, we line seed potatoes directly on top of the ground, cover them with long mounds of compost-rich soil, and water the mound down so it compresses like an in-ground planting bed.

As the potatoes grow upward into the mound, we keep adding more soil throughout the season - building the row higher and higher as the plants develop.

Potatoes are one of the trickier crops to grow with reduced tillage, so this is part experiment, part evolution.

Every season we’re learning how to move farther into the no-till spectrum and build healthier soil with less disturbance. 🌎

Join Director of Jewish Life Rebecca Joy Fletcher Join Director of Jewish Life Rebecca Joy Fletcher for an evening of earth-based Jewish learning and community during this time of transition at the Farm.

Together, we will explore teachings and rituals from Jewish tradition that will help us lean into the natural world for support and guidance, especially in periods of change. We'll do this through text study, heart-based conversation, and on-our-feet playfulness.

This gathering also offers an opportunity to share appreciation for Cantor Rebecca Joy Fletcher as she concludes her time as Director of Jewish Life at the end of May. Rebecca’s leadership has helped shape a deeply rooted, creative, and spiritually vibrant Jewish life at the Farm, and we look forward to being together in community to mark this moment.

🗓Wednesday, May 27 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm
