A Nonprofit Community Farm in Encinitas, California

Coastal Roots Farm cultivates healthy, connected communities by integrating sustainable agriculture food justice, and ancient Jewish wisdom.

Keep up with us on Instagram!

Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, is a time for Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, is a time for reflection, renewal, and possibility. 🍎🍯

Here on the Farm, every seed asks us to imagine a future we cannot yet see and then participate in bringing it to life. As we begin a new year, we’re reflecting on what we can plant and tend together for a more just, nourishing, and sustainable world.

This Rosh Hashanah, reflection can become action.

At a time when nearly 430,000 people across San Diego County are facing hunger, your support can help ensure more of our neighbors have access to fresh, nourishing food.

Throughout September, every gift to Coastal Roots Farm will be matched dollar for dollar, up to $15,000. Together, we can plant the seeds for a sweeter new year and a community where fresh food is within reach for everyone.

🍎 Give today and double your impact.

Shanah Tovah! Wishing all who celebrate a sweet and nourishing new year. 🍯

Join us Wednesday, September 30th from 6 to 8 PM for Pride in the Sukkah - an LGBTQ+ Sukkot celebration at Coastal Roots Farm in collaboration with @jquties!

We'll gather under our big sukkah with friends old and new, share festive food and drink, and dig into the meaning of Sukkot through Earth Based Judaism learning. 🍇✨

Sukkot is one of the most communal Jewish holidays, the sukkah's open walls remind us that everyone is welcome. Led by Education Manager Megan Freeman and queer historian Hanz Enyeart.

Ticket proceeds support the Farm's mission to nourish our community! 💚
