5. Play, Dance, Celebrate, & Learn
Stop by our DIY Fermentation Station; dance to live music by our headliner Shamati; join a learning workshop on Sukkot, agriculture, or food justice; or visit the Kids Zone for the perfect photo op.
Kids Zone activities will include a petting zoo, crafts, DIY flower crowns, and more!
4. Let your Foodie Flag Fly
Awaken your taste buds by noshing on food from your favorite local vendors, from fish tacos to wood-fired pizza, kefir soda to fresh juice, and organic farm to table creations!
Guests ages 21+ can mix and mingle in our “Libation Station” featuring alcoholic kombucha from Boochcraft, beer from Golden Coast Mead, and others. Plus, get an exclusive taste of Coastal Roots Farm’s very first, unreleased wine made from grapes grown in our own vineyard!
3. You Shall Have Nothing But Joy
Ancient Jewish sages refer to Sukkot as ushering in “the season of our joy.” Together, we will celebrate the end of an abundant summer harvest and the beginning of fall, which will eventually bring rain and make the next harvest possible.
With your neighbors, reconnect with earth’s incredible cycles. It is through these moments that we make memories, create connection, and build community.
2. Your Donation Makes an Impact
According to the latest research provided by the San Diego Hunger Coalition, an estimated 486,000 (1 in 7) people in San Diego county experience food insecurity and an additional 185,000 people at risk of food insecurity.
Our ticket prices are suggested donations and are offered on a pay-what-you-can basis. Donations will fund our food distributions which serve needy Holocaust survivors, military and veteran familes at Camp Pendelton, and at-risk families at Vista Community Clinic.
1. Feel the Magic for Yourself
Throughout the day you will have the opportunity join a Farm Tour led by a member of the Coastal Roots Farm team. You’ll get a behind-the-scenes glimpse of our production methods and walk through our ever-evolving landscape including vegetables, herbs, flowers, chickens, compost, food forest, and vineyard.
It’s not often that you stumble upon an urban farm with an ocean view! This Encinitas treasure is hard to explain but easy to feel. So, join us here on the Farm on September 30th to celebrate the season of our joy!
