November 1st, 5:00-8:00 pm: Sacred Melodies: A Shabbat Farm Gathering to Sing, Learn, and Feast
Doors open 5pm
Service to begin at 5:30. Don’t forget to bring dinner for you and your group. This is a little different from last time when you brought food for everyone. This time it’s not a potluck
Cost: Free
Join Director of Jewish Life Rebecca Joy Fletcher & guest artist Mikey Pauker for a joyful, participatory gathering on the Farm to welcome in the Sabbath. Through the moving melodies of Kabbalat Shabbat (the liturgy for Sabbath eve), approachable learning and embodied participation, you will be invited to let go of the week that has passed and to rest in the present moment, while connecting with the folks gathered around you. So please bring a vegetarian picnic dinner and beverage. We will provide the challah and wine for all. While children are welcome this event is primarily designed for adults.
