Marsha Berkson is a facilitator, coach, and community leader who partners with organizations to strengthen leadership development, culture change, and strategic planning. With more than 35 years of involvement in San Diego Jewish life, she is passionate about building connections and fostering collaboration. “For me, this work isn’t just professional — it’s personal. I care deeply about strengthening the fabric of Jewish life and helping our community thrive together.”

Rebecca Price Brewer is the Executive Director of the Allison and Robert Price Family Foundation. With over 20 years of experience in the non-profit field along with being a third generation San Diegan, she brings a unique perspective to the needs of San Diego County. Rebecca resides in North County San Diego with her husband, three children and her Dutch Shepherd, Gretel. In Rebecca’s free time you’ll find her hitting the local hiking trails with her dog or on a travel adventure with her family.

Bertram C. Edelstein, Ph.D.
Bertram C. Edelstein, Ph.D., an organizational psychologist (ret.), was founder of The Edelstein Group, an international management consulting firm. The firm specialized in the selection and development of executives.
Bert served as Consulting Director for Executive Programs at UCSD. He was a faculty member in the Executive Program for Scientists and Engineers, and the HealthCare Executive Leadership Program.
Bert is vice president of the board of Pro Kids/First Tee San Diego. Pro Kids uses golf as a hook to focus underserved youth on academic and career development. He is a member of the Rancho Santa Fe Farms Golf Club. Bert and his wife, Karen Helrich, have lived in Cardiff by the Sea since 1991 and are members of Coastal Roots Farm’s Farm Founders Circle.
Dan Einhorn
Dan Einhorn
Dan Einhorn is an endocrinologist doing research on lowering the stress hormone cortisol. He is grateful for over three decades of caring for patients who he loves bumping in to.
His father, Marcel, was an avid amateur urban organic gardener and healthy living advocate, way ahead of his time. He created an organic garden in his big-city backyard with soil brought in from the countryside and seeds and cuttings from organic sources. The family juiced enough carrots to make their palms turn orange. Marcel was considered crazy in his time, and he would be so happy that we support Coastal Roots Farm.
Emily Einhorn

Emily Einhorn oversees a family business that owns commercial real estate in the Pacific Northwest and invests in real estate and other business ventures. She has served on the boards of the Leichtag Foundation, the Jewish Community Foundation, 211-San Diego and the La Jolla Playhouse, among others. She believes deeply in the mission of Coastal Roots Farm.
Laura Galinson
Laura Galinson
Laura Galinson is the Founder and President of the Galinson Family Foundation, the Price-Galinson Collaborative Fund, the Alternative Families Fund, as well as the Laura Jo Galinson Advised Fund of the Jewish Community Foundation of San Diego. Laura focuses her charitable work on her passions for education, youth, mental health, the arts, Africa, Israel and San Diego. Among her many contributions to the community, Laura currently provides leadership to the Museum of Photographic Arts (Education Chair and Acquisitions and Development committees); Jewish Women’s Foundation (Board Member), Support the Enlisted Project (Advisory Board and Development Committee), Psych Armor (Mental Health Advisor), and Hillel San Diego (Board Member and Capital Campaign Chair).
Karen L. Helrich, Ph.D.
Karen L. Helrich, Ph.D.
Karen L. Helrich, Ph.D. is a clinical psychologist (ret.) who practiced in San Diego County for more than 30 years. A passionate ceramic artist, she creates hand-built pottery and has studied at Clay Associates and Idyllwild Arts Academy.
Karen has served on the boards of Temple Solel and Hillel of San Diego. She is a longtime Advisory Council member of the Jewish Women’s Foundation of San Diego, which supports programs for Jewish women and girls. Karen has studied and practiced Jewish mindfulness meditation for many years through the Institute for Jewish Spirituality.
Karen and her husband, Bert Edelstein, have lived in Cardiff since 1991 and are members of Coastal Roots Farm’s Farm Founders Circle.
Shoshannah Hart
Shoshannah Hart
Shoshannah Hart is an owner and Partner of Parker & Hart, LLP and practices law in the area of Estate Planning, Trust Administration, and Probate. She has offices in Carlsbad and in San Jose.
Shoshannah has a well-rounded education with two bachelor’s degrees in business and political science from Arizona State University. Tired of scorpions, rattlesnakes, and 120-degree summers, Shoshannah completed her Juris Doctor at Santa Clara University School of Law in 2016.
Being deeply rooted in community is important to Shoshannah because she hopes to make a positive impact in the environment that her children are growing up in. Making community a priority, Shoshannah volunteers in several ways, including serving on the following boards: Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce; Jewish Community Center, Jacobs Family Campus; and the Women’s Philanthropy Board of Jewish Federation. Additionally, she now serves on the Advisory Council for Coastal Roots Farm, an organization and place that is deeply important to her family and children.
Shoshannah lives in Encinitas with her husband, who is a teacher, and their two young boys.
Jerri-Ann Jacobs
Jerri-Ann Jacobs
Jerri-Ann Jacobs is a longtime community volunteer and advocate for youth, education, and the arts. She co-founded the High Tech High network of charter schools with her husband, Gary Jacobs, and helped launch the Jacobs International Teen Leadership Institute (JITLI) to foster cross-cultural understanding among young people. She serves on several boards, including the San Diego Symphony, and has chaired numerous gala events in support of local nonprofits.
A lifelong music lover, Jerri-Ann taught herself viola during COVID and now plays in a strings group at the Museum of Making Music. She is also an avid gardener and volunteers in the garden at Jewish Family Service, where the harvest supports the Corner Market and helps address food insecurity. Originally from Brooklyn, she now lives in Del Mar and is a proud mother of four. She was awarded an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters from California State University for her service to the community.

Rachel Levitt is a passionate Coastal Roots Farm supporter and an accomplished operations and strategy leader with a strong foundation in business management. As Director of Operations at Sea Breeze Properties in San Diego, she leads organizational strategy, team management and process improvement. Rachel earned her MBA from Columbia Business School, focusing on management, strategy, and leadership, and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BA in Environment and Sustainability from the University of Michigan. Her diverse experience includes extensive executive recruitment consulting in the hospitality industry and business development for startups and sustainability ventures in New York and Southern California. Rachel is committed to linking business success with social impact and environmental stewardship, collaborating closely with local organizations like Coastal Roots to strengthen and educate the community.

As Senior Director of Philanthropic Strategy, Cami leads strategy and management of donors, prospects, and new business. She increases philanthropy across the region by working with corporations and donors who want to make an impact and assist those in need. Cami helps San Diegans personalize their giving through donor-advised funds, family engagement, corporate strategy, and by supporting programs at San Diego Foundation.
Previously, Cami served as director of community relations for Cox Communications California. In her role, she was responsible for the strategic direction of the company’s statewide community relations efforts, including employee volunteerism, Cox Charities, and its corporate giving. Cami also had a career in mission-driven impact by serving as the President and Chief Executive Officer of the San Diego North Convention and Visitors Bureau for 21 years.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in public relations/communications from Brigham Young University.

Andrea Moriarty is the author of One-Track Mind and Radical Inclusion both about raising her son with autism. Her third book tackles laughter as self-care for autism moms and will be released in Spring of 2026. She is a sought-after speaker and consultant offering a refreshing, spiritual take on the challenges of special needs parenting. Moriarty co-founded Banding Together music therapy nonprofit and has served on the board of directors at New Village Arts Theater and Able ARTS Work. Jim Moriarty is a strategist and advisor who helps leaders and organizations align growth with lasting impact. He has worked at the forefront of technology, e-commerce, and AI, and spent a decade as CEO of the Surfrider Foundation, mobilizing a global grassroots network to protect coastal access and conservation. Over the past decade, Jim has guided consumer brands from startups to global icons in blending profit with purpose, while serving on multiple advisory and nonprofit boards. A lifelong advocate for social and environmental change, he lives in Solana Beach with his wife and adopted twins, one with autism, and surfs self-shaped boards daily.
Rebecca Raymond
Rebecca Raymond
Rebecca Raymond is the Co-Executive Director of the Foundation for Community Development and Empowerment (FCDE), the Vice President of the Raymond Companies, and a consultant with the Confluence Institute’s East African initiative.
A nonprofit devotee, for more than 30 years Rebecca has been working with impact-driven organizations dedicated to youth and community development across the globe. Domestically, she has worked as the Director of Family Counseling Services for a San Francisco Beacon Center and the Director of Indian Education for the American Indian Child Resource Center in Oakland. Internationally, she was a youth development Peace Corps Volunteer in the Kingdom of Tonga and has held senior positions with the Asante Africa Foundation based in Kenya and Tanzania, the Foundation for Sustainable Development in Uganda, and most recently with FCDE. Across these roles, Rebecca has cultivated meaningful cross-cultural partnerships that support community-identified solutions through comprehensive, multi-faceted programming.
Her academic foundation includes a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from the University of San Francisco and a Master of Arts in International Social Development from the University of New South Wales, Sydney, plus a Bachelor of Arts in History and American Studies with a Peace and Justice Studies concentration from Tufts University.
Currently, she serves on the boards of the Escondido Community Foundation, San Diego Oasis, the California Center for the Arts, and Women Forward International and sits on the Philanthropy Council for Neighborhood Healthcare.
Tishmall Turner
Tishmall Turner
Tishmall Turner is a dedicated leader and advocate for tribal sovereignty, education, and economic development. Raised on the Rincon Reservation in Southern California, she holds both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Business Administration. Tishmall made history as the first full-time Tribal Liaison in the California State University system, serving at Cal State San Marcos to strengthen partnerships with regional tribes. She later served as Vice Chairwoman of the Rincon Band of Luiseño Indians, where she led initiatives including the launch of the first tribal-owned 7-Eleven, a brewery near Harrah’s Resort, and a pioneering solar microgrid project.
A respected voice in Native leadership, Tishmall served three terms on the Palomar Health Board and currently serves on the board of the MICA Group (Multicultural Indigenous Community Alliance). She is passionate about cultural preservation and youth empowerment, co-authoring children’s books in Luiseño, participating in weekly language classes, and supporting programs like the Dream The Impossible Native Youth Conference.
Emma Rose Tuttleman Kriegler
Emma Rose Tuttleman Kriegler
Emma Rose Tuttleman Kriegler (she/hers) is dedicated to the growth of her hometown of San Diego by improving access to food as medicine, and engaging in philanthropy. From 2020–2023, Emma worked at the Pay-What-You-Can Farm Stand, and delivered fresh, organic produce to our Tribal community partners. In 2023, she founded the Jan Tuttleman Native Plant Initiative and the California Native Healing Garden in memory of her late mother, Jan Tuttleman z’’l, expanding access to medicinal plants native to this region of San Diego. Emma is on the San Diego Jewish Women’s Foundation Leadership Council, a philanthropic board which improves the lives of Jewish women and girls in San Diego and Israel. Deeply committed to the Farm’s mission, Emma sees Coastal Roots Farm as an extension of her home, and is honored to serve as an agent for food justice and ecological resilience on the inaugural Advisory Council.
Adam Uribe
Adam Uribe
Adam Uribe is the founder of Red Earth Movement and Co-Director of the Seed-to-Table Program. Raised on the San Pasqual Indian Reservation in San Diego County, he comes from a lineage of traditional seed keepers and organic farmers. Adam combines ancestral knowledge with regenerative practices, teaching others how to restore soil, grow food sustainably, and reconnect with the land.
Through Red Earth Movement, Adam leads hands-on workshops rooted in Indigenous ecological wisdom. His work emphasizes the connection between healthy ecosystems, cultural tradition, and community wellbeing, offering powerful tools for healing both people and the planet.
