Join us after school twice a week on the Farm to enjoy less screen time and more green time! 

After School on the Farm offers an opportunity for “farmers-in-training” to get in touch with the great outdoors through hands-on, authentic farm experiences. After School on the Farm is available September-May for children ages 4-10. Pre-registration is required

What is After School on the Farm?

After School on the Farm is an enrichment program that invites youth ages 4-10  to spend their afternoons in the great outdoors. Children of all abilities and backgrounds will learn what happens at a regenerative, organic farm that is guided by Jewish values and get their hands in the soil to explore where their food comes from.

Are scholarships and discounts available?

Thank you for your interest in our After School and Farm Camp Programs! Thanks to generous support from the Prebys Foundation's Healing through Nature grant, we are pleased to offer scholarships for After School on the Farm. Scholarships are readily available and open to anyone in need of financial support of any kind. 

We invite you to submit a scholarship support request here.

We are pleased to offer multi-session and sibling discounts.

Cancellations and Refunds

After School on the Farm sessions are contingent upon sufficient youth sign-ups. In the event of cancellation by the Farm, registrants will be refunded.  

All other cancellations, including unsafe weather events, unattended days, and cancellations by families are ineligible for refunds.  

 

What if my child can only attend one of the days of After School on the Farm?

After School on the Farm operates on Mondays and Wednesdays. We do not offer prorated or custom payment plans at this time. 

How far in advance do I need to register for After School on the Farm?

All registrations must be finalized no later than the Thursday before the start of a new session of After School on the Farm. If you register for a single session, you will NOT be automatically enrolled for subsequent sessions and will be required to reregister for the next session. You will be required to register for all sessions your child plans to attend. If your child is not registered by the Thursday before the start of a new session, they will be unable to attend the following Monday.

 

Can I sign up for After School on the Farm midway through a session or a season?

You can sign up for After School on the Farm at any time. However, we do not offer prorated rates for mid-session sign-ups. 

What will my child do during After School on the Farm?

During After School on the Farm, youth will: 

  • Participate in open-ended play and exploration on the Farm. 
  • Harvest and taste farm-fresh produce. 
  • Care for the Farm’s education spaces by planting, weeding, harvesting, learning about how plants grow, and supporting the care of the chickens. 
  • Explore the connection between people and nature as guided by Jewish values.  
  • Have fun making friends and building connections in our unique outdoor learning spaces.
Can I drop my child off early or pick up my child late from After School on the Farm?

Before care is available from 1-2pm for an additional cost.

  • $240 per session
  • $480 for Fall
  • $630 for Spring
  • $1,080 for the full year

You are welcome to drop off and pick up any time between 2:00-5:00pm. Late pick-ups will result in a late fee of $1 per minute for every child that stays after 5:00pm.  

Are you looking for a quiet place to work while your child is exploring the Farm?
  • The Hive coworking space is available for caregivers of After school on the Farm registrants to utilize from 2:00-5:00 on Mondays and Wednesdays while your Farmer-in-Training is in session.
