Natural Dye Workshop for Teens

Sunday, November 20 @ 11:00 am to 12:30 pm

Natural dyes can be made from materials such as leaves, bark, flowers, fruit, minerals, and more! Creating dyes from natural materials cuts out the use of harsh chemicals that can be harmful to people and the planet.

Learn how to make natural dyes using materials found at home or in your yard to tie dye a bandana to take home! Led by Aliza Zollman, a passionate student who has been moved by the environmental impacts of the textile industry and fast fashion.

For teens ages 11-18 only.

Sunday, November 20th

11:00am - 12:30pm

“Aliza Zollman is a Gold Award applicant, holding workshops about natural dyes and sustainable fashion for other teenagers. She learned to sew while in elementary school, but became interested in slow fashion in middle school after learning about the child labor industry. Aliza attends San Diego High School.”
