Join Coastal Roots Farm and JFEST for an evening of original eco-theater, dance, and music by some of California’s most exciting, forward-thinking artists. Earth-based Jewish wisdom will ground the event and serve as inspiration and jumping-off point for the artists. As we all navigate the darkness of the climate crisis and the environmental injustices of today, art can light our way and help us see, feel, and act with renewed joy and determination. That’s our hope for this Fest. Plus, loads of fun and connecting at our Farm after-party!

Everything you Need to Know:
Four brand new short plays, one new dance performance, and one musical piece with singers.
Performances will explore themes including awe of nature, food justice, old farmers, the power of the ocean, eco-sorrow, yearning for the wild, whimsy, grief, and how stories can uplift and transform us in this unprecedented time in planetary history.
Yes! All plays will be appropriate for people of all ages. Unfortunately, no furry friends allowed.
All six creators have received the same short eco-Jewish text as inspiration and jumping off point for their creators. We will share the text with you at the start of the Fest!
Absolutely! The playwrights, directors, and actors at REGENERATE! also come from diverse backgrounds. The goal is many different voices creating six universally-resonant short performances.
Guests will be invited to enjoy food, drink, live music, and conversation around the themes, mingle with artists, play fun creative games provided by Climate Science Alliance, go on a brief tour, and enjoy the beauty of the Farm as the sun sets.
