Coastal Roots Farm invites people of all ages and backgrounds to celebrate Sukkot with a special, outdoor Harvest Shabbat evening on the Farm. Sukkot Harvest Shabbat brings together two beloved Farm traditions—our annual Sukkot Harvest Festival and Great Outdoor Shabbat—for a festive evening honoring the ancient agricultural holiday.
Inspired by the Jewish harvest holiday of Sukkot, this intergenerational gathering will celebrate the bounty of the Farm. Together, we'll connect with the land and experience the joy of Shabbat. Join us for an evening of live music, community, and celebration under the open sky.
Whether Shabbat and Sukkot are longtime traditions for you or completely new, all are welcome. Save the date and join us for a joyful fall evening at the Farm!

What to Expect at Sukkot Harvest Shabbat
⭐ Live Music by Mojo Strut
⭐ Activities
- Build a Mini Sukkah: Using natural, found materials, build a mini sukkah and learn the ancient meaning of the temporary structure.
- Decorate the Farm's Sukkah: Decorate our sukkah with images of the four Sukkot species: Lulav, Etrog, Hadasim, and Aravot.
- Garden Harvest: Join a Farm educator in harvesting sweet potatoes.
- Farm Tours: Learn more about the Farm on a guided tour of our education space, fields, and more!
⭐ Space to Picnic
- Bring a picnic dinner to enjoy with your family and friends. Our Farm green provides the perfect space to lay out a picnic blanket or set up chairs to enjoy the evening in community. There will be no food vendors at Sukkot Harvest Shabbat.
⭐ Shabbat Blessing
Join us for challah and grape juice under the sycamore tree as we welcome Shabbat.
