At Coastal Roots Farm...
We envision a regenerative and nourishing food system that cares for all people and our precious planet.
Last year, we grew nearly 85,000 pounds of organic food for more than 45,000 people using regenerative agriculture that reverses the impacts of climate change. We donated 75% of our harvest to feed 30,000 people in need and inspired nearly 9,000 climate activists working for a sustainable future.
In our San Diego community, where more than 1 in 4 are struggling with food insecurity, our work is more important than ever.
With your help, we can create healthy soil which makes healthy plants to support the health of our neighbors and climate.
Join us as we feed and nurture our land, soil, and neighbors. Support Coastal Roots Farm’s impact to Nourish Community today.

About Coastal Roots Farm
Coastal Roots Farm is a nonprofit Jewish community farm and education center where we practice organic farming, share our harvest with those who lack access, deliver unique farm-based, environmental education, and foster inclusive spaces for people of all ages and backgrounds to come together to learn and engage in ways that catalyze a healthier, more vibrant community and a more sustainable environmental future for our region. The Farm is located in Encinitas, California on land we recognize as traditional to the Kumeyaay and Luiseño peoples.
Because you share our commitment to people and planet, we invite you to nourish your neighbor today.
Our priority populations include low-income seniors and families, Holocaust survivors, active-duty military and veteran families, Latinx families, and Indigenous/Native families.
We maximize our impact by partnering with organizations and groups reaching these populations directly:
- Community Resource Center
- Helping Hand Worldwide
- Iipay Nation of Santa Ysabel
- Jewish Family Service
- Mercy Housing's Cantebria Senior Homes
- San Diego American Indian Health Center
- St. Andrew's Episcopal Church Food Pantry
- Vista Community Clinic
Additionally, Coastal Roots Farm’s on-site pay-what-you-can Farm Stand reaches thousands of community members each year.
